⭐ Recommended — Install Hugin to your home screen

Hugin is also a small web app. Once installed to your home screen, “Hugin” appears in your OS share sheet — including from inside the Reddit native app. Tap Share → Hugin on any post and the hosted audit starts immediately. The report opens when the scan finishes.

iPhone / iPad (Safari):

1. On this page, tap the Share button (square with up-arrow).
2. Scroll the share menu down → tap Add to Home Screen.
3. Tap Add in the top-right.
4. From now on: in the Reddit app, tap any post’s share button → scroll to find the Hugin icon → tap → done. The scan page opens the report when ready.

Android (Chrome):

1. Open ⋮ menu → Add to Home screen → confirm.
2. From now on: in the Reddit app, tap a post’s share button → tap the Hugin icon when it appears in the share targets.

Keep the scan-share tab open while Hugin fetches the post, checks the thread, and builds the report. It auto-redirects when the report is ready.

Alternative — bookmarklet (mobile browser only)

If you’d rather scan from insideSafari/Chrome (when you’re reading Reddit on the web, not the app), the bookmarklet works. Instant scan, no queue lag. One-time setup below.

iPhone / iPad (Safari)

1. On this page, tap the Share button (the box with the up-arrow) → Add Bookmark → Save.
2. Open Bookmarks (book icon at bottom) → tap Edit → tap the bookmark you just made.
3. Change the Name to Scan with Hugin.
4. Tap the URL field→ delete what’s there → paste the bookmarklet below.
5. Tap Done. The bookmark is now a working scanner.

To scan: open any Reddit post in Safari (the regular browser, not the Reddit app) → tap the bookmark icon → tap Scan with Hugin. A small gold panel appears in the corner; the report opens in a new tab when ready.

Android (Chrome)

1. Bookmark this page (⋮ menu → ☆ star icon).
2. Open ⋮ menu → Bookmarks → long-press the bookmark you just made → Edit.
3. Set Name to Scan with Hugin.
4. Tap the URL field → clear it → paste the bookmarklet below.
5. Tap the back arrow / save. Done.

To scan: open a Reddit post in Chrome (not the Reddit app) → ⋮ menu → start typing “Scan with Hugin” in the URL bar → tap the autofill match. (Chrome on mobile doesn’t expose a bookmarks bar, so you reach bookmarklets through the omnibox autofill.)

What about the Reddit app?

The Reddit native app doesn’t expose a bookmarks system or a way to run scripts — so the bookmarklet alone won’t reach you there. Use the Add to Home Screen + Share intent flow above. It’s the only path that works from inside the Reddit app on either OS, and it’s honestly the smoothest of the two options.
