The count, in context.
Follow reported results, then follow the public record behind the people and questions on your ballot.
A lead is not a winner. Even 100% of precincts reporting does not mean every ballot has been counted. Missing races are not zero votes.

Before the next vote
Know what's on your ballot.
State selection is a starting point, not a personalized ballot. Your election office can confirm the contests and measures for your address.
Those sites handle their own address requests. Hugin does not ask for your address on this page.
The work behind the name
Follow the record.
Compare what someone said and did: votes, sponsorships, campaign money, public roles and documented findings. Check dates, sources and responses, and use the same questions for everyone.
Campaign contributions and independent spending are different records. A connection alone does not establish influence, motive or wrongdoing. Search can find people with similar names, so confirm an identity before connecting records. A missing record is not a verdict.
Questions to ask of every candidate
- What did they do? Find the original action, its date and the person's actual role. House votes ↗ · Senate votes ↗
- Who funded the campaign? Check the filer, office, reporting period and type of money. Federal campaign filings ↗
- What do they say? Compare their own statements with the record and consider their response to a finding. A candidate may have no voting record if they have not held office.
Federal records cover federal offices; state and local campaigns use different filing systems. A filing alone does not establish ballot qualification.
Sources, coverage & refresh
Arizona, California and Delaware counts are read from their election offices. Other displayed counts come from official state election offices via The People's Tally, adapted by Hugin under CC BY 4.0. Hugin has not independently verified every count. State election-office links are sourced from USAGov.
Coverage is incomplete and varies by contest. We do not import race calls, predictions or inferred winners. Some sources do not provide an update time. State and congressional boundaries can change; this page does not color district boundaries from these counts.
