PAM asks to let tested learner-permit drivers work without a supervisor in the front seat
PAM Transport seeks a five-year exemption for commercial learner-permit holders who have passed their skills tests but are waiting for license credentials. A qualified licensed driver would remain in the vehicle, though not necessarily in the front passenger seat. FMCSA is accepting comments through November 27; it has not granted the request.
