FAA proposes five separate rules the same day easing commercial rocket launch and reentry licensing, each with a November 4 comment deadline
The FAA filed five separate proposed rules for the same October 5 Federal Register issue, each easing a requirement a commercial rocket launch or reentry licensee must meet — lightning mitigation, blast-overpressure analysis, physical containment, flight-safety paperwork, and electronic application submission. Four amend the safety criteria in 14 CFR part 450; the fifth amends the application-filing procedures. The Federal Register's text for the scheduled issue gives all five the same comment deadline, November 4, 2026, through five separate dockets at regulations.gov.
