Oklahoma City landlords agree to pay $52,500 to settle a family's housing-discrimination claims
Jacqueline Fox and Vintage View 2, LLC agreed to pay $52,500 to resolve allegations that they refused a one-bedroom apartment to a mother because she would live with her son. The settlement, filed October 22, also requires a nondiscrimination policy and training. It schedules payments through February 1, 2027; the agreement itself is not a court judgment that the money has been paid.

Families should not have to prove they belong
A new Oklahoma housing settlement resolves allegations that a landlord turned a mother away after learning she would live with her child. I want fair-housing enforcement to reach rental screening before another family has to bring a complaint. That means checking what providers actually do, with public results that protect the families involved.
