Cumulus Media's Chapter 11 plan takes effect, canceling all of its old common stock; the company says it has emerged as privately owned

Cumulus Media Inc. told the SEC in a Form 8-K filed October 16, 2026 that its Chapter 11 plan took effect that day; the radio broadcaster and certain subsidiaries emerged from a case begun March 4, 2026 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas. All old common stock was canceled, with no recovery or distribution for former holders under the plan. New stock and $50 million of convertible notes went to creditors. The company filed a Form 15 the same day to end its SEC reporting.
