The Consumer Product Safety Commission posted eleven recalls dated September 24, 2026, covering about 197,000 products sold in the United States by the notices' own estimates. Ten of the eleven list Amazon.com as a place of sale, six as the only one. The largest are about 51,000 Blue Cactus Company battery packs for reclining chairs, which can overheat; about 48,405 Kesyup mattresses that violate the federal flammability standard; about 43,674 light-up children's toys with button batteries children can reach; and about 25,073 Aitjunz dressers that violate the federal standard for clothing storage units. NEWDERY power banks, about 21,380, carry the heaviest record: nine reports of the power banks exploding and igniting, including a fire with $2 million in property damage and one burn injury. No deaths are reported. The same day the Commission proposed deeming hazardous cords on custom blinds and shades, and cord loop lifts on roll-up shades, a substantial product hazard, citing 73 cord incidents involving children 8 and younger from 2018 through 2025. Written comments are due November 23, 2026.
