About 100 VQQQ natural-gas patio heaters sold on Amazon are being recalled because components can malfunction and release gas, creating fire and burn hazards. CPSC's October 22 notice covers models VQQQ-A1 and VQQQ-001. It tells buyers to stop using them, shut the valve at the portable gas source, disconnect the hose and contact VQQQ for a full refund. No incidents or injuries were reported.

About 100 VQQQ natural-gas patio heaters are being recalled because components can malfunction and release gas. CPSC says the resulting fire and burn hazards pose a risk of serious injury or death.

Check the model on the purchase receipt

The October 22 notice covers VQQQ-branded models VQQQ-A1 and VQQQ-001. The brand and model numbers are printed on the product's purchase receipt.

The heaters have a bronze pole, a round base and a silver mushroom-shaped top. Their height adjusts from 55 to 78 inches, and a 24-foot gray gas hose is attached to the base. The recall page includes a product photograph for identification.

They were sold on Amazon from July 2024 through August 2026 for about $346. CPSC identifies the retailer as Shanxi Yuhe Sheng Maoyi Youxian Gongsi, doing business as VQQQ, of China. The heaters were manufactured in China.

Stop using the heater and follow the refund steps

CPSC tells consumers to stop using the recalled heaters immediately, shut the valve at the portable gas source, disconnect the gas hose and contact VQQQ for a full refund. The listed email address is vqqqrecall@163.com.

Consumers will be asked to write Recalled in permanent marker on the heater's base and send a photograph of the marked heater to that address. The notice then directs consumers to dispose of the recalled product.

The notice describes the product as a natural-gas patio heater while referring to a portable gas source in its remedy. Those are the notice's terms; it does not identify the recalled product as a different type of fuel appliance.

Hazard, not a reported injury count

The recall reports no incidents or injuries. That statement does not remove the gas-release hazard or the instruction to stop using the heaters.

The notice lists a full refund as the remedy and gives contact, photograph and disposal instructions. It does not establish that any particular refund has been paid. The recall number is 27-039, dated October 22, 2026.
